Hello. My name is Kelly Wilson, and my interest in food insecurity started from my volunteer work at a local food bank. As I continued to volunteer, I learned how important food banks are to neighboring communities. I helped sort food and eventually started stocking the store before holidays, such as Thanksgiving. Before volunteering, I knew that I wanted to help my community in a meaningful way, but I did not know what path I wanted to go down. However, after completing my volunteer hours at the food bank, I knew that I wanted to help fight against food insecurity in my community. It led me to found a non-profit, Kare4All Inc., that focuses on providing food for people who are unable to access it due to health concerns and location.
Kare4All strives to fight food insecurity in our community. We recruit volunteer delivery drivers who work similar to Amazon or Instacart and provide a way to get food bank groceries in the hands of the most vulnerable members of our community, but addresses the need for those who do not want to go out to food banks, the opportunity to get groceries delivered in a safe and contactless way.
